Holy…crap. Sing it, Girlfriend! SING IT! Ah, I always get excited when I see Karaoke singers on the cover of romance novels for it is the national past time of my people and I feel a sense of pride. Don’t ask me, alright? Just put me in front of a mic, a monitor scrolling lyrics of a Whitney Houston song, and watch me go! It’s good times. But not for my listeners. People always seem to find something else to do and leave when I’m about to sing. If I were a more sensitive individual, I’d get butt-hurt.
I don’t know what homegirl is wearing, but it has sequins on it and is very tight for her breasts are squeezed together in what looks like an uncomfortable manner. Maybe the sequins are cutting into her boobs. I don’t know how she can sing anything in that outfit when it doesn’t even look like she can breathe very well. Is she a country singer? She looks like an ugly Shania Twain.
And I don’t know what’s up with homeboy’s hair (is that Uncle Jesse‘s hair?), but it looks like he’s whispering to her, “Sweetie, you’re out of tune.” Or maybe they’re doing a duet. Boy, I hope it’s “Endless Love” that they’re singing. Everybody loves that song. I mean, everybody. I asked around, seriously. This totally reminds me of that creepy movie about Karaoke singers where Gwyneth plays Huey Lewis‘ (he was terrible!) daughter. Man, that movie was lame, except Scott Speedman was in it.
Mmm… Scott Speedman.
Oh, hey, this is a book by Dame Nora Roberts. Awesome!
