Can I be the Meat of this Manwich?

Alright, I’ve had enough of trainwreck ebook covers. It’s time I posted a prime example of what an ebook cover could look like if it were placed in the hands of a proper artiste. Or I’m just a huge fan of muscular hot dudes with no heads, so I really couldn’t help but like this one. Come on, you guys, THEY’RE ABOUT TO HAVE SEX! BOY ON BOY SEX! WHOO-HOO! I think it’s great that Evangeline Anderson also writes about boys-luvin’-on-boys. She’s such a thoughtful bitch. Look, never mind that I’m a fan of Evie’s work. I bought this book because I was quite attracted to the cover. Never mind that I was trolling specifically in the gay/lesbian section of Loose-id, either. And that I was specifically looking for boy-on-boy sex. Shove all of that aside and admire this cover with me. Isn’t it positively sinful? And by sinful, no, I don’t mean that these guys are gonna go to hell for being gay. They’re too hot to go to hell and everyone knows that beautiful people don’t go to hell. I learned it in Bible studies, swear to God. Do y’all see that you don’t gotta show the model’s junk for a cover to be sexy? See, what I like about this cover–’sides the two hot boys who are about to get it on–is the simplicity of it. There’s nothing shady going on here. For all we know, they’re just two HETEROSEXUAL buddies who are not afraid to change their clothes in front of each other, but the strategically placed dude taking off his shirt and standing behind his buddy there in a suggestive manner, that’s hawt shit. Just goes to show you that we don’t have to have two nasty-looking CGI dudes pretending to go down on each other on the cover to let us know that it’s a boy-on-boy love book. And we don’t gotta look into their dead CGI eyes, either.

P.S. I’m reading this right now and can’t stop giggling like a fool.

    This cover is so nice I thought April Martinez did it–but no! It’s a Sable Gray cover! It is very, very hot.

    Bam, I clicked on your site and squeed with joy when I saw my lovely cover. I adore it too–didn’t Sable do a fabulous job? She designed my business cards too which are also hawt. lol. Seriously tho, what are you giggling about? Have you got to the part about the Wank-a-thon yet? Or do you just like Detective O’Brian’s taste in T-shirts. (My fav. is the one that says, ‘You say tomatoe, I say Fuck off.’
    Anyway, if you like the cover and you like the book, does that mean you’ll give me a review? Cause you know I sent you my space hooker book with the horrible cover and I’m still waiting for that. But very patiently. : P

    I LOVED this book. Not only was it extremely hot, it was wonderfully written. I really felt the emotional struggle of both men, particularly Valenti. Great heartfelt and super hot book!

    I don’t know this book, but I have to say the cover looks absolutely gorgeous (AND I am a sucker for a good m/m romance), I really thought April was the artist.

    BUT:
    I reviewed Dangerous Cravings and the whole reason why I ordered it for review was this beautiful cover. Sexy, yet with class, and the red lips!!! *hmmm*.
    By the way, I normally don’t like D/s books, because the hero always appears too faultless and untouchable, while the heroine is a doormat in waiting with some pseudo independent traits. But I have to say this one got the highest rating and a heart for keeper status :-) . The characterization was so real I got hooked and finished it at the same day. Way to go!

    Great cover, and great write-up! Found your site by surfing through the posts on chaos theory (http://fullmoon.typepad.com/chaos/ ) and promptly got addicted. It’s the snark, really, because romance novels aren’t so much my thing. :) Anyway, gotta go add you to the links from my own book review blog, cause this is good stuff…
