   1 It’s the title that confuses me. Sounda kind of like The Cook, the Thief, his Wife, and her Lover, which was a great if strange movie, BTW. Evangeline

   2 Yeah, I don’t get the title, either. He’s her slayer, but I think he’s also saying that he’s her lover as well. But on the second part of the title, he speaks of himself in the third person. Or she’s saying “My Lover” and he’s saying “Her Slayer” Or I’m totally wrong and there’s a third party not featured on the cover. Oh, please, let it be A.D. Skinner!

   8 I’m sorry… what pisses me off the most about this is the blatant misuse of Scully’s image. SCUUULLLY!! This is worse than when the aliens abducted her and implanted the miracle-baby in her womb even though SHE DIDN’T HAVE ANY MORE OVA! *pouring wine on the floor* That was for you, Scully.

    10 Funnily enough, when I logged on to this site I was listening to “Mulder and Scully” by Catatonia… coincidence? I think not. [cue X-Files music] But yes, I too am angered at the blatant misuse of Scully’s image. But how feasible is another X-Files movie really? It relies completely on Mulder and Scully… and with all that they’ve been through, ESPECIALLY Duchovny’s bitchy departure, can he really bring it anymore? I’m sure Anderson can, but after five years, are they really relevant anymore? Both have certainly moved on… lol. [WARNING: NERD/SPOILER ALERT] Wait, the aliens abducted her again? There was the first time, where they harvested her ova, and then the second time in the movie where she was simply abducted to mess with Mulder’s head [and he got her by the end of the movie]. Mulder jacked her ova from the “fertility clinic” in the town where she was being treated for cancer BEFORE the movie, and they only tried to conceive [either with in vitro fertilization or old-fashioned lovin’] two seasons afterward… so when did she get abducted again? If I remember correctly, when she stepped in the force field where all those people got abducted they rejected her [cos she was “infertile”] and took Mulder instead… which is when she found out she was pregnant. [END NERD/SPOILER ALERT] I just thought I missed an important plot arc or something… Yeah, I was a big X-Files fan. Like obsessive.

    11 Joanne, I don’t know. I stopped watching after Season 7. I only watched occassionally once Mulder was taken.

    13 Umm… it just occured to me that the hero might be… Marc Anthony. You know, Skeletor… J-Lo’s husband. The moustache was added because J-Lo might see it and shit herself. She’ll be like, “Mira! Do you know what I can do to you putas that you’ve besmirched my husband’s image? Take it down! Andale, putas!”

I hated Mulder’s absence and Doggett too but being in the throes of fangirlhood I kept watching. I am also a M-and-S-only type person and I realise that they should have ended it after Duchovny left… it’s a good thing you didn’t watch much after that cos Scully was a wreck in Season Nine. [She had great hair, sure, but emotionally she was a total wreck.] LOL at the Marc Anthony thing.

    17 Evangeline – Did you ever read the Mulder/Skinner where they’re stuck in the hotel together? Not that I read slash. And because I don’t read slash, allow me to ask of behalf of an, er, friend if anyone knows there I — um, my friend — can find a Giles/Spike story where Giles is the top, and he makes Spike splooge in a cemetary just by the sound of his voice. There are several chapters, and my friend would appreciate it. My friend is aware that neither story is canon, and that the stories are the property of either Chris Carter or Joss (Lurve him!) Whedon.

    19 “a Giles/Spike story where Giles is the top” Giles a top? No freaking way. . . that guys’s as sub as can be and Spike would come - er, um, WALK all over him. And I didn’t watch X-Files past 1998. I ran off and joined the Army and got sent to Korea for a year and when I came back I had NO FUCKING CLUE what was going on. It was like it was a totally different show.

    20 lorelie: Spike deep down wants approval, and has a history of being sub with women, Giles — on the other hand has his past as Ripper. Watchers order around slayers as a matter of course. And, yes, I’m justifying a piece of stroke fiction. E: Would love to send you the story, but haven’t seen it around in years.

    22 There’s always the Gossamer Project, which aims to catalogue all the X-Files fic out there, but you will have to sift through a bunch of crap ones… I know from experience… lol. Lorelie: You ran off and joined the Army? The way you put it, it sounds like it was an impulsive choice. May I ask what brought it on? [Having had a friend dispatched to Iraq a couple years ago it always interests me to know how people come to join it.] Also, yeah, everything changed after the movie cos of the move to LA. Some elements totally changed. lol.

    25 I can’t wait till November 28th. I’m shelling out the big bucks for the 2-disc. I’m such a sap. But the 1-disc is very bare bones. Bryan blew out his wad on the 2-disc. Gotta get as much BR as I can. Till 2009. Goddamn it. I’ve been watching the cartoons on DVD… you know, the awesome WB one. I might even spring for the videogame. Or maybe someone will get it for me for my birthday. Which is October 16th.

The funny part is that we would be getting each other the same thing, for the same reason, at nearly the same time. I was actually supposed to be born on the 16th (not lying, I swear to God!) but for some weird reason I began clamoring to get out on the 10th. Can’t wait till November 28th either.
