Who Says Christian Chicks Can’t Have Fun?

I was told that this author usually writes inspirational romances, so I checked her out on Amazon and sure enough, I saw her blurbs peppered with “God’s will” and “inspirational” and “woman of faith”. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I’m just wondering if she has jumped the menage a trois bandwagon in an attempt to sell more books. Now just because there are two men on the cover, it doesn’t mean that she’s going to bang them both. It could be a love triangle. But I doubt it. Those dudes look a little too close together, na’wha’mean? Check out the dude in the blue shirt. He’s got a look on his face that says, “Oh, no she di’int” and dude behind him is totally sporting a bitch-face. Maybe they’re pissed ’cause the girl looks tougher than they do. Hell, I’ll bet five bucks that she can take them both on in a fight. At the same time. She looks “TV police procedural drama” tough. Like she’s got something to prove or something. Maybe there’s even a drunken cop father in the background. Who knows. I think the two guys started out competing for the girl, but fell in love with each other. If this is an inspirational book, by the way, does that mean there’s no sex till marriage? Damn. What the hell kind of menage a trois is that?

Thanks to the lovely Jane for this cover!

Blue Shirt looks like a young Alan Thicke and Black Jacket looks like Lorenzo Lamas, pre-Falcon Crest, and yeah, they are totally into each other.

Me, I think there’s a split personality thing going on with the gal. Look at the right side of her face — there’s a Mona Lisa smile going on there. Left side? A scowl/frown/don’t piss me off look. Does inspirational mean no plunging neck line? Or hint of a feminine figure? Look at how the spotlight is on her torso. Isn’t that weird, considering that all it’s highlighting is her tucked in proper white blouse? Even Diane Chambers would have shown more skin. Humble opinion, a’course.
