Sexy Urban Fantasy, You Say?

Oooh… Liquid Silver Books has a new line of sexy, sexy urban fantasy books. Inteeeeresting. According to author Darragha Foster, it’s an “urban fantasy line, with romance and sexual content all the way from Liquid to Molten. It is a shared world concept, meaning that the authors were required to use the urban fantasy world [Rae Morgan] created and fit their characters’ lives and backgrounds into it.”

What is a Terran?

Terrans are a species that split off from homo sapiens over 50,000 years ago. As they became more and more isolated from their human cousins, they evolved and developed preternatural abilities to control Earth, Air, Fire, Water and the Spirit.

During the early ages of man, the Terrans were often called gods, goddesses, sorcerors, witches, and prodigies.

As their elemental abilities grew stronger, they kept their magick hidden. They’d learned early on that man feared what he did not understand—that fear often led to persecution and death for Terrans.

About the time of the Industrial Revolution, Terrans soon realized that mankind had stepped onto a path of destruction for Mother Earth. They realized that they had the ability to save both the planet, and their human cousins, from ultimate destruction.

Sounds cool to me. I was a fan of Love Spell’s Crimson City series. Should be interesting to see what different authors will do with a shared concept. Hope they send me freebies. Hee!

This sounds really exciting! But, when I first read that the Terrans control Earth, Air, Fire, Water and the Spirit… I immediately thought of Captain Planet. *Sigh* I’m gonna go crawl back under my rock now… :)

Don’t sweat it, Kardis. I reacted the same way. I even sang the theme song.

I thought that “Oh man Earth Wind and Fire is recording again?” Then I slapped myself and felt better.

I do love urban fantasy I just hope we get the fantasy part with a heavy duty dose of the Urban interspersed with JUST the right amount of raunch. Oh yes.

Shuz, if you love the steampunk thing, you need to read my girl Elaine Corvidae. She has the most amazing series out, starting with Winter’s Orphans. Fairies, in Victorian times. Steampunk. Need I say more?
