Your gift of getting the story from the cover has failed you this time."She's dead, Jim!" That divine glow behind her tells it all. He is her guardian angel and he has come to take her home. "But there is so much I still want to do! Like get this kid outta me! Who wants to be preggers for eternity?" So, she gets to go back and do it right this time, I swear I will. And he will be there helping her. But she won't remember who he is. But he seems so familiar, but that's not possible, is it? Oh, somebody stop me, I can't stop myself...

Hilarious. This was so good I was compelled to look up the official blurb on this. And guess what, the hero's name in the actual book IS Hunter. I guess there only so many names that are appropriate for a man wearing mirrored sunglasses. I'd rather read your version, though.

Speaking of "parts," Shuz, check out his receding hairline. You'd think a world that has the technology to fuse man and robot parts together would be able to fix male-pattern baldness.

Poor Hunter Tyler. Say, I just noticed this: Doesn't he look like a taller, leaner Chris O'Donnell with a fivehead?

When Mrs. G said his "part" I actually went back and looked at his hair. BACK IN THE GUTTER, BRAIN!

Yep. I wish she hadn't written the sequel. Some things are perfect just the way they are. But I expect she's got a cat to feed or something.

I’m not opposed to metallic parts. I cried over The Silver Metal Lover.

Yeah. Me too. I didn't like Metallic Lover as much, though. It felt like... adultery.

I wonder how Hunter Tyler feels about having two trendy first names as his name.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. <strike>Steve Austin</strike> Hunter Tyler will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster. (Hopefully that "faster" bit doesn't apply to certain activities, nudge nudge, wink wink.)

Hunter Tyler is an amalgamation of organic man-parts and cybernetic technology… a machine.

Or should we say...a manchine.
