I read StS again right before reading VoH and, funny enough, I liked the scenes where Faith has to deal with things on her own without Vaughn's support. I also think that that was one of the devices used to keep this book from simply repeating StS. Mmmmmmm...Judd. And Hawke. YUMMY! Kat, I hear you. It's still a great book but, in my eyes, suffers from comparison with StS. The last few chapters dragged on a bit for me, and I would have preferred more scenes with both H/H in them. I did like the fact that the characters and situations felt a lot different from the first book, and I'm definitely looking forward to the Psy hero/changeling heroine pairing in the next book.
