April: And the Winner is…

Hula Girl!…The wonderfully talented Samantha for this delicious entry:

Samantha

[Not sexy, but anyway:]

Death lay in those lips, hung from their perfection as certainly as she breathed. If they pressed or brushed hers, even attempted to inhabit the same space – she would die. And yet, it was almost as if hers moved of their own volition, infinitesimal degrees, a pouting, a puckering towards extinction. She must have a secret death wish, unknown until his mouth curved. She moved forward, holding his incredulous eyes, until their breath mingled. “What are you doing?” he whispered, mesmerized and frightened simultaneously. She drew in one final breath and pressed her lips to his.

Okay, site ate half my comment… Oh well, I think this version is better.

Anyway: I’d also like to thank the other contestants and their wonderful entries for giving me such an exciting run for my money

Well done Samantha. It was a goody.

Thanks for the votes I got for my entry - they really cheered me up - I’ve just had the crappiest day and to top it off, I’ve discovered that my son has brought headlice home from nursery. I’ve just spent an hour combing the little critters out of my hair and now I smell of tea-tree oil.

Your site is quite, quite splendid, Bam.

    Congrats, Samantha.

Ack, I’m sorry you’re going through that, Tumperkin. It’s awful, isn’t it?

God, I was sent home once ’cause I had cooties. My mom poured a whole bottle of RID on my head and combed out the little lice eggs one by one. She tossed out my blankets and stuffed animals (Mr. Piggy, noooooo!!).

Did you guys see that awesome South Park that dealt with head lice in school?

Samantha, it was excellent and well deserved in a field of excellent contenders.

Tumperkin…I suffered through multiple rounds of headlice and dread the day my kids come home with it. I am so sorry to hear that you’re dealing with it. I know it’s just one of those things that’s gonna happen. I’m thinking I might just shave their heads, but since they’re girls I think the hubster might have a small issue with it. *Sigh* It’s a good thing they’re adorable. Good luck.

    Thanks again everyone :) .

I think I figured out the problem with my first two comments - I kept trying to put this little heart code thingy in. Apparently, it’s the code of death for post content after it.

    Sam.

    Thanks, Dylan :) .

Tumperkin: hopefully it’ll be over soon. Does an oatmeal bath work or do you have to stick to the medicated stuff only with this?
