Now More Writerly Than Ever!

BamHi, guys, please check out my new About Me section. It’s got chockful of stuff about… you know, me. Wacky, huh? If you look at the left sidebar (of the About Me page), you may notice a new navigation entirely. The links will lead you to works I have published, some short stories I have posted, and stuff I’m currently working on. If you’re looking for a tense, erotic tale that has one of those endings that will have the Twilight Zone theme song playing in your head, please check out Dead World. It’s good times. Anyway, have fun, and as always, let me know what you think! :)

I read both your short story posts and I REALLY liked them, particularly Dead World. For me, a story has to be really good if I read it on my laptop. Anything published on paper is more official somehow, so e-stories are like an extra hurdle to get over (for me anyway). In short, if I read something on my laptop and it sucks me in, it must be good.

When John Braine talks about writing, he draws a distinction between the Quick and the Dead. Good writing is Quick. It sucks you in and carries you along. Some writers can write the most beautiful arrangements of words you’ve ever read but somehow their story is Dead. It just doesn’t suck you in. Your stories were most definitely Quick.

I’ll have to get Skin to Skin now.

Got to go. Doctor Who is just about to start on TV and David Tennant is hot hot hot.

Tumperkin, thanks for the compliments. For my short stories, I usually follow Kurt Vonnegut’s advice. I like ‘em like a jab in the gut… You walk away, feel a wetness on your stomach, and only when you touch it and see blood on your hands that you realize you’ve been stabbed. That’s how I think of it, anyway.

I love David Tennant, too! But right now I’m watching Cronicas with John Leguizamo. Man, this movie is vicious.

    You and Ray Bradbury.

And screw you for being such a good writer. You’re the competition now. I hate you.

I liked Dead World, but damn, it was dark and grisly. Grim too.

Wow Bam, it looks like I’ll be buying Skin to Skin- one penniless person supporting another! I know you put a warning on Dead World, and I know I have zombie-phobia, and I still liked it.
