1. I can’t write a story if I’m not obsessing about someone. I call him my “muse,” I guess. While working on my last book, I thought of nothing but Eric Bana. I had this pictures plastered all over my office, talked about him all the time, but once the book was over… we parted ways. Kind of. Oh, who am I kidding? I’d still let him stick it in. But I have moved on (back?) to my next obsession. Batman.

2. Like Sybil, I was once preoccupied by The X-files. I watched every single episode, even the sucky ones without Mulder. I kept praying it would get good again, but it never did.

3. I can’t pass by a used book store without buying a shitload of old Harlequin Presents. I love those things. They’re like crack to me.

4. I have a girl-crush on Meljean Brook. I think she’s the bee’s knees.

5. I started writing at the age of 9 because I ran out of stuff to read around the house. I asked my mom for some comic book money ’cause I had nothing to read and she said, “Why don’t you write your own?” Oh man, was she ever sorry when I didn’t go to nursing school like she wanted!

6. When I find a song I like, I will listen to it over and over and over until I’m sick of it. I’m not sick of Come On yet. Sorry, Shuzluva.

7. I’ve seen Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter fifty-seven times. I know this because I make a note of it each time I watch it.

8. I am very, very afraid of snakes. I can’t even watch them on TV. Oddly enough, I’ve seen Anaconda a few times. I think it’s hilarious. Best comedy ever.

    I don’t have to be obsessed with *someone* to write, but I have to be obsessed with the story and that world. When I write the succubus stuff, I have to live and breathe Georgina and her life. When I plan a book, I’m usually right in that mode…so if I get interrupted, that really sucks. I was starting to jump into Succubus Blues 3 when Vampire Academy edits came in last winter, so I had to shift out of the SB3 obsession. Now, I’m trying to write it again and haven’t quite hit my stride.

    Ok. That was really more than I intended to post. Sorry to put up my life story!

    Yeah, but you can’t imagine the writing fodder you get from being a nurse. I’m not kidding.

    HPs, X-Files, Batman — you don’t have a girl-crush on me … you just see that I’m JUST LIKE YOU and project all your love onto yourself :-P

    Although I love snakes. Used to go around hunting for them under boards and in my gramma’s garden and stuff, and then keep them as pets.

    I love snakes. Every time I see one I think about what a fantastic pair of shoes it would make. Sorry all of you animal-rights people, I can’t help myself.

    Darragha - if his spine can regenerate after being on the island for presumably only a few minutes, then that bullet ain’t gonna hurt him for long. He’ll recover quickly and will come after Ben with a vengeance. And what the F!%$K is going on on that island?!?

    Bam - Eric Bana is amazingly gorgeous. I’d let him stick it in several times, over and over again, if I were you.

    Now why would I do that? You’re entertaining, Bam. Besides if I did threaten you, then I wouldn’t be able to come and enter the writing thingies you do every month. That would be so rude…and I do like the writing thingies.

    Snakes are animals? Ick! They are slithery and they have freaky eyes. I’ve hated them ever since Riki Tikki.
