Samhain is joining forces with Kensington to create a new imprint. That means we “little” e-book authors will soon be invading New York. Sure, they’ll be starting with one or two books a month, but imagine the possibilities… *rubbing hands together and cackling maniacally* How awesome is that? Too awesome for words, that’s what.
But according to Miz Angie:
we’re closed to submissions (and will remain closed for awhile longer)
D’oh!
But head on over to Dear Author and read all about it!
That Jane… she always gets the scoop. She’s like the Lois Lane of romance bloggers.

Congratulations to Miz Crissy, Miz Angie, and the rest of the Samhain family who worked around-the-clock to make this happen. What a momentous occasion. Oh happy days!
(Yes, there’s a Queen song for EVERY occasion.)

I was very excited to learn of this development. Even though only a select few big name/big sales authors will be chosen for the Kensington/Samhain imprint at first, it will benefit everyone by getting the Samhain name out there in the public eye. I’ll be happy to be a shirttail relative catching reflected glory (read sales) from my Samhain sisters. (kinda like Roger Clinton. Remember him?)

I know, Bonnie! I was actually picturing myself clinging to, like, Summer Devon’s or Annmarie McKenna’s leg and going, “We’re going to New York, really? WEEEEEE!!! Can we go to Coney Island?”
Good times to be had by all.
Is that the “Fantastic Voyage” guy?

I was pleased to hear this news IF ONLY to prove that some o’ the folks in charge of publishing houses, especially epubs, are making decisions with their brains. This makes sound business sense for all involved and has nothing to do with personal grudges, family problems, etc. Praise be!

That’s six kinds of awesome. I can see it now: a Kensington title emblazoned with the “Dionne Galace” name. Go on, ya’ll! Make with the party. I’ll add this to the DJ’s list.

Yes, and it sounds like they going to do actual books and not that anthologies crap like the EC/SS deal.
Oops did I say that. Shame on me.

They’re closed for submissions but the contest at the blog gets your writing in front of editors. So, go on, Carrie Lofty…unless you’re already contracted?
