O Hai, It’s a Mystery!

Our friend QB is looking for an author… who’s gone missing? Someone call Jessica Fletcher!

Hey Bamster!

Are you interested in another mystery to solve? I just read this book… Forever Crossed by A. Leigh Jones. I’ve had it on my Constant Cravings list for awhile and can’t remember who recommended it to me. So last week, I finally ordered it in print from Amazon, but it was originally released through Imajinn Books in 2004. This was a damn good Urban Fantasy and appears to be the start of a series.

So here’s the mystery… I can’t find any more books by this author. I’ve checked Amazon, Imajinn Books, RT, AAR, and I’ve googled the author’s name. Zip. Nada. Zilch. Released 3 years ago, Forever Crossed is apparently the only book released by someone with that name. However, I just HAVE to believe that she may have taken this series to another publisher using a different pen name. Since your readers include a huge amount of authors currently releasing through epubs, I was hoping you might post a plea to find A. Leigh Jones.

Here’s the Amazon link for it.

And here’s the Imajinn link.

BTW, don’t let those blurbs fool you– this was NOT an Anita Blake knock-off!

Thanks,
Bev

So where are you, A. Leigh Jones? Come by and say hello! Let us know what you’re up to!

Oh, and speaking of e-books… uh… Skin to Skin received 4 Angels from Fallen Angel Reviews. Kickass.

P.S. If you like free books, stop by at Jackie Kessler’s blog. She’s giving away 10 free copies of her upcoming book, The Road to Hell.

Well, that was short and sweet– Thanks Christine! I swear, the only thing that came up when I googled her name was reviews, etc. for Forever Crossed and no web site for her.

Unfortunately, she didn’t list a sequel to FC. Damn, I REALLY wanted more! So everyone go buy Forever Crossed and maybe that will encourage her to write more, okay? BTW, it’s now available as an ebook from Fictionwise in addition to print from Amazon and Imajinn.

Thanks for the help Bam! We’re gonna have to work on your earworm next!

…maybe the mystery is how Bev could suck so much at Googling in this day and age. :D

Sure Bam, make fun of the menopausal old lady. Some day YOUR brain cells will be cooked away by hot flashes too, grasshopper! ;-p

Although, I have to wonder if Suzette and Christine were using the voice they reserve for “special” people when they helped me out with the info.
    :-?

    Hello, hello!

As you’ve discovered already, there’s really not much of a mystery here at all, although, hmmm, maybe….. Nah! No mystery! I’m sorry to say Forever Crossed is still my only published novel, and despite my best intentions the sequel never quite worked out. I’m still writing, though, and I like to think Olivia and Luka are going on about their business, waiting for me to get them right. :)

Anyway, it’s a special sort of thrill for me to know that readers are still discovering them, it really is, so, thank you for this! Thank you a whole lot!

I did exactly the same last year. Enjoyed the book, hunted everywhere for more info.

Oh hi ALJ…happy & productive writing, we hope to see more of you soon!

    *Fangirl SQUEEE*

ALJ, I ADORED that story! Once I picked it up there was no putting it down till the end! At which point, I NEEDED to reach for the next one because I wasn’t ready to leave them yet.

Now that I know how to contact you, I was going to send you a total fangirl email BEGGING you for a sequel! But it’s better this way since you were able to tell everyone at once (or course you don’t get the dubious honor of picking me up as a creepy stalker fan either ;-P)

But maybe if you tell Olivia, Luka, Cole, Antonio, etc that we’re out here waiting to hear from them, they’ll decide they’re finally ready to tell you their next story. *fingers crossed* :-D

Oh, thank you! *beams happily* I’m pretty sure I don’t have any creepy stalker fans, so it would have been a lonely job for you. This way is definitely better! :)

I am making an effort to keep my LiveJournal up to date these days (although you need a LiveJournal account to see most of the entries there) and I have a blog at MySpace I update somewhat less frequently, but you can keep up with me there, too.

Truly, you have made my day with this, Bev. I appreciate it more than I have words for, and if I do coax those leopards out again, I’ll do my best to make sure you know about it as soon as possible!

    Thank you again,

    A. Leigh Jones
