I Can’t Breathe…

First I had my heart crushed by this. But now I’m feeling flabbergasted, ecstatic, and dare I say— aroused?

From Crave Online:

Current Caped Crusader Christian Bale has been cast in the upcoming Terminator: Salvation (aka Terminator 4) for Warner Bros. Pictures, according to numerous reports. The film is intended to be the first installment of a new Terminator trilogy, undoubtedly centering on the post-apocalyptic war between humans and the robots of Skynet, as prophesied in the original set. In the first three Terminator films (aka the Schwarzenegger Opus Trilogy), different models of the Terminator cyborg travel through time in order to kill John Connor, preventing him from fulfilling his destiny as the leader of the human resistance during the machine wars.

But who will Bale play? A Terminator? There are reports that he’s been cast as John Connor, a strong possibility considering that Nick Stahl (John Connor in T3) has said he is not returning to play Connor in T4. Bale’s also been rumored to be cast as an entirely new hero in the franchise, first mentioned here: Terminator 4 in the works.

Time will tell. T4 begins shooting early next year and the studio hopes to be on target for a Summer 2009 release.

How awesome is that? Christian Bale Battling Huge Motherfucking Robots kind-of-awesome, is how. Christian Bale… and giant robots… Drool. Oh, this is a red-letter day for geeks!

Now I’m going to re-read After the Night by Linda Howard for the 50th time and picture Christian Bale in place of the hero. See ya.

Oh, and click here to view my desktop wallpaper. *grin*

Jaci, what a silly question. What kind of resistance freedom fighter doesn’t wear leather? Pfft. It underscores the badassness of your protag. Duh!

    I stole your desktop pic.

And I’m waiting on the Bale story. McG is directly T4 and I have little faith in it being at all watchable. Having CB onboard will only muddy my decision as to whether or not to watch it…

    I meant “directing” T4. Duh.

I am surprised Christian Bale would do Terminator 4. It doesn’t seem like his type of movie choice lately. Not that I am complaining. Bale is worth watching in anything. Even THE MACHINIST where he was so skinny it hurt to look at him. Anything has to be better than the last Terminator movie. Do you know if James Cameron is doing anything on the writing area with it?

Christian Bale is so… I could say talented, delicious, delectable, inhuman, but no word fits just right. Dude is a freak of nature. Your wallpaper is wonderful, really.

The fact that Brandon Routh got married doesn’t bother me, but it still irks me that Cillian Murphy (my future lover, though he doesn’t know it yet) is married. And he has a baby. Now I have to imagine myself as the mistress or rebound relationship. Ugh.

That’s a killer picture for your desktop. As for T4 news…can’t wait.

    I’m a little scared because T3 sucked major a**.

Maybe the CB factor will improve the franchise…

umm… CB would improve a pap smear, Ann. Especially if he were the one performing it.

Eww… I just grossed myself out. And… oddly enough, turned myself on at the same time. Conflicted!

No, Cameron doesn’t have anything to do with this one other than letting it happen. So it’ll suck. CB will only tempt we of the innocent and unsuspecting to bear witness.

And Alyssa, I’d fight you tooth and claw for the chance to be Cillian’s rebound mistress. *swoons*

OMG!! Christian Bale in leather!! Can I have a piece of that!
Will he be the badass terminator?
Must find a shower to cool off now.

On the same page with you Ann. However, CB could improve just about anything (but I’m not going to the GYN office with you Bam). CB as Gray Rouillard? Wow, I never thought of that one, but now I’m going to have to dig up my copy!

I’m just full of mixed emotions because I love Bale, but I heart Stahl and wanted to see him in the next Terminator movie. I mean, Chrisitan has the Batman franchise now, couldn’t he leave Terminator for Nick? What does my poor Nick have going for him these days? Just a few indie flicks from what I see on IMBD.

CB seems to be the go-to guy for rescuing sucky-ass franchises.

Like Carrie said, McG is directing… and the work he’s famous for is Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle *gag*

but on the other hand, there is a soft spot in my heart for McG because he’s one of the exec producers of Supernatural.

Syd, yes CB as Gray Rouillard. Gray Rouillard and his amazing 13-inch PENIS!

God Bam, you’re absolutely right. CB is the perfect Gray Rouillard… No hardship imaging him with a 13 incher as well. *sighs happily*
A guy I know married Brandon’s sister - there are some damn good genes in that family I can tell you.

Read another article that told a bit more details. He is in “talks”, but has not committed/signed the dotted line to play the role of John Connor in Terminator 4. So there is a very good chance, but it isn’t solid yet.

I all for it if we get some shirtless scenes like we did in Batman Begins. Woohoo!

“After the Night”? Eh … not so much. Is it just me or was Gray kind of … creepy? Now, my man Bale would make a damn fine Dane Hollister from LH’s “Dream Man.” Oh. Oh my. Now THAT would be something …
