The Hathaway brother you mention does not have a dead wife in his past, but a fiancee and Cam Rohan was never intended for Annabelle (who married Simon Hunt in the 1st Wallflower book Secrets of a Summer Night). LK originally paired him with Daisy- they have 1 scene together in DIW.
