This is like the umpteenth review I have seen raving about it. I just found the book heavy on the theologizing and short on the horrifying and the theologizing a bit crude at that. Also, too many stock Stephan King tropes. Bad lustful preist? Check. Secretly gay cops? Check. I've liked the other books Joe Hill has written -just not this one.
